In early 2012, Hallie Pritts (founding member and songwriter of Boca Chica) will travel to Berlin Germany to record a brand new album with French musician and producer, Jules Etienne.
Drawing on 1960s French pop, Kraut rock, and psychadelia the the duo will complete the recording in a whirlwind 10 days.
This project comes hot on the heels of Boca Chica’s new full-length, Get Out of Sin City which is climbing the charts in both the US and Europe– Sin City reached #17 on last week’s EuroAmericana charts and is still climbing. The album hit #16 on the American Roots Music Report (and was the #1 self-released band on the charts) and hit #1 on the Pennsylvania charts.
Hallie is currently spending her days listening to Tangerine Dream and Francoise Hardy and deciding how many pairs of black jeans one should bring on a trip to Berlin.
